Māoriland Charitable Trust
Māoriland is an independent Māori led trust based in Ōtaki. Currently delivering work opportunities, leadership and skills training to more than 2,500 rangatahi Māori and their whānau per year. It does this through Te Uru Maire – the Māoriland Rangatahi Strategy alongside the highly successful annual Māoriland Film Festival.
Te Ataarangi Trust
Te Ataarangi began in the late 1970's by Dr Kāterina Te Heikōkō Mataira, and Ngoingoi Pewhairangi. It was designed as a community-based programme for adult Māori language learning. Te Ataarangi is modelled on ‘The Silent Way’ method developed by Caleb Gattegno. One project they are embarking on is Te Ara Whakangungu – 1000 Kaiako within 5 years.
Tūhoe Tuawhenua Trust
The Tūhoe Tuawhenua Trust reaches over 25 blocks of land in the Tuawhenua region. Tuawhenua trust largely focuses their efforts on indigenous forestry, biodiversity, and pest control with an over-arching goal of retaining ownership of the Tuawhenua land to the original hapū and whānau. Te Whare o Rehua, their newest project aims to deeply connect young people te Mauri o Te Ngahere.

Te Whare Hukahuka is a social enterprise with a charitable purpose and intent. The company’s main objective is to improve the lives of indigenous people through education advancement and poverty relief. Te Whare Hukahuka works to create an ecosystem of likeminded organisations committed to helping indigenous organisations thrive.
Te Kotahitanga e Mahi Kaha Trust
Established in 1986 to build an organisation for Māori development, health, and education services. KMKT aspires to build a strong voice to create intergenerational change in Māori communities. They have done this through kaupapa focusing on delivering education and health focused services to young people in Ngapuhi.
Poutama Rites of Passage
Established in 2017 with a focus on supporting young New Zealanders navigate the passage of adolescence. Poutama Rites of Passage places an emphasis offering guidance through the physical and psychological change adulthood can hold, ultimately contributing to the development and wellbeing of our tamariki.
Ngāti Rangi - Te Pae Tata
Ngā Waihua o Paerangi Trust is the charitable arm of Ngāti Rangi. Ngāti Rangi have envisioned the transformation of five key areas: Education, employment, housing, health, and social wellbeing.
Ngāti Rangi have embarked on their project ‘Te Pae Tata’, this project has a focus on Māori and community development especially in the technology space.
National Iwi Chairs Forum (ICF)
National Iwi Chairs Forum (ICF) is a platform for sharing knowledge and information between the tangata whenua of Aotearoa, to enable Māori aspiration in the spheres of cultural, social, economic, and political development.
In 2010 the National Iwi Chair Forum approved a working group to engage with tangata whenua to develop a model constitution, and a shared vision for Aotearoa/New Zealand.
Mauria Te Pono Trust
Mauria te Pono Trust, a whānau-led not-for-profit organisation in Gisborne, has been supporting hundreds of Māori families in overcoming alcohol and drug addiction.
The Trust utilises a whānau-led approach, headed by the Whaanga whānau, in an effort to address Māori addiction and mental health issues by connecting as family. The framework for the Mauria te Pono Trust approach is one which sees Māori come together and share their experiences as a collective.

Huringa Pai is a community-led development in partnership with Ngati Porou Hauora, aiming to help get whanau moving in the East Coast through accessible group exercise, connecting with Hikurangi maunga.

The Umma Trust
UMMA Trust was established in 2003 as a Charitable Trust to provide social and community services for refugee and migrant communities with a specific focus on the wellbeing on Muslim women, children and families who are socially and economically disadvantaged. UMMA Trust takes a strength based approach to when supporting families and works in a holistic manner.
