The Trust has a two-stage funding process. The first stage is a brief outline application designed to give us an idea of what you’d like to achieve. You can get an Outline Application form here, fill it out, and either email or post it to us. We can also post you the form. When completing your Outline Application form, please:
This first stage process is designed to be reasonably quick for you to complete and for us to process. If your application is chosen to proceed to the next process you will have ample opportunity to tell us a lot more.
Technical guidelines If you are sending your application electronically, please ensure that the document is saved in one of the following formats only:
If you are using a Mac computer or word processing software other than Microsoft Word (e.g. Works, OpenOffice, Lotus, etc) you will probably need to specifically choose to save the document in one of these formats. Your system may not do so automatically.
What is the process? All outline applications go through a screening and selection process which takes approximately four weeks. Applicants that are selected will be asked to submit a full proposal. We will provide a list of questions directly to invited organisations and you will have approximately four weeks to prepare this. We will also organise a time for our assessors to visit. They will talk with you and your referees, assess your proposal, and provide a recommendation to the Trustees, who make a final decision. This stage takes approximately eight weeks. Closing dates for applications are 28 February or 31 May or 31 August. You may only apply once per calendar year.
